Two decades of thoughtful design

With over 18 years of experience in branding, product, and web design, Liis Peetermann creates refined visual systems built around clarity, perception, and real business goals.

I’ve worked in design for nearly two decades — across branding, product, web, presentations, and visual systems.

After moving from Estonia to New York, I spent fourteen years working with startups, accelerators, and growing companies, including Techstars and multiple early-stage tech teams. Being surrounded by ambitious founders and fast-moving environments taught me how much perception, communication, and clarity influence trust.

Over time I became less interested in decoration and more interested in what actually makes a brand feel believable. Why some companies immediately feel credible and coherent — and why others, even with bigger budgets, still feel unclear.

A large part of my work today is helping people make sense of ideas that still feel unstructured in their head. Often the problem is not lack of ambition or quality — it’s that the brand hasn’t fully found its shape yet.

I tend to work in a focused and observant way. I notice pacing, wording, visual tension, and the small details that shape how people emotionally perceive a brand.

Outside of design, I’ve spent years studying movement, meditation, and Tibetan Medicine. Those experiences changed how I approach creative work — with more patience, attention, and sensitivity to nuance.

I care deeply about aesthetics, but even more about whether something works: whether people trust it, remember it, and feel connected to it naturally.
